Vaticaan 10 Euro "Battisimo" 2021 GOUD PROOF

The Sacrament of Baptism is celebrated once again this year with a ten euro gold coin created by artist Orietta Rossi. The coin depicts Jesus praying, immersed in the waters of the River Jordan, while receiving blessed water on his head. On his right side there is a dove, a Christian symbol of the Holy Spirit; in the river three fish are swimming, always symbols linked to Christ. Regarding this Sacrament, Pope Francis reminds us that “Baptism is the best gift we have received. Through it, we belong to God and we possess the joy of salvation.”
